Scientific Name Baryancistrus niveatus  (Castlenau, 1855)
Common Names L026, Niveato-Pleco (Germany)
Type Locality Rio Araguay, Goiás State, Brazil.
Synonym(s) Hypostomus niveatus, Parancistrus niveatus
Pronunciation bah ree ann siss truss
Etymology Greek, barys = heavy + Greek, agkistron = hook - Essentially "Heavy Ancistrus". Niveatus means white spotted, but we're not sure of the origin!
