Scientific Name Leptodoras copei  (Fernández-Yépez, 1968)
Common Name
Type Locality Lagoon along Río Capanaparo, Orinoco drainage, Apure, Venezuela.
Synonym(s) Anduzedoras copei
Etymology Leptodoras: From the Greek leptos, meaning slender, and doras, meaning skin (also a word commonly used in forming generic names for doradids); in reference to the shape.
