Re: Synodontis eupterus strange behavior.
Moved things over to vacuum gravel. It was quite dirty since the faucet attachment style siphon( Lee brand) didn't reach the bottom. I finally got a longer one which is a python brand. Only tank that could really use more filtration around here. Testing the water would be a really good idea too. Sin...

Synodontis eupterus strange behavior.
Lately my syno. euppies have started to hang out on one side of their tank instead of hanging out in their own caves. What gives>?. They are so crowded by choice that they are almost top of each other at times. I thought at first it might be because they saw me watching them and wanted food. Now it ...

Replacement clown pleco?
Long story short, I lost a clown pleco in Sept. Today I'm thinking that since every time I look at the tank, I see a "hole"..I actually have become very sad to even look at my pleco tank anymore. As of today, I am thinking I want a new baby. In fact, I got to to thinking, I got enough spac...

Re: Synodontis Eupterus breeding project.
This tank hasn't had plants in many years due to the darkness. Even multiple lights failed to keep low light plants alive. Not even algae grows in this tank. Depending on how many are which sex, I suppose I could look into moving them for the purpose of conditioning. Combined with the younger trio, ...

Synodontis Eupterus breeding project.
I'm yet once again reviving my breeding project with my synos. I've had a few failures already...OK, MANY failures so I know this won't be easy. OK so what I'm going to do is: - Increase their filtration...I'm scoring a better filter for that tank tomorrow knock on wood. I should have at least 3 fil...

My synodontis eupterus.
Haven't posted here in a while...mostly because I couldn't log in anymore. :D My "euppy" group is still alive and kicking, they are a fun bunch. I have always found these fish among the more entertaining to watch. Having a bunch does make them more fun when they interact with ea...

Same hiding places went with them except I removed some lucky bamboo because they are now on a bottom tier tank. Then I added another cave. I have -a rock arch. -I have resin ancient ruins type cave. - A resin coral/barnacle cave probably meant for a SW tank. One is sitting in the rock arch and othe...

Baby synos did not take well to moving.
I moved my baby synos into a larger tank the other day and they seem to have responded negatively.
They used to come eagerly to the corner when I fed them. Now when I drop in their food, they keep on hiding...Actually they hide more in general.

Hello... I'm also keeping two baby syno. euppies ( my nick name for the species) I have three older adults and I always wished I had gotten more right off. Too much pecking order issues. I thought it meant they were very territorial and I couldn't add any more at the time. They didn't kill each othe...

Baby syno. euppies.
Ok...I fell for some a pair of hard to find ( hard to find ANY synos in my neck of the woods) baby euppies. They are in a ten gal right now being quarantined. I was going to wait until I maybe moved to consider new euppies, but the oppertunity came along. Here's to hoping I didn't make a bad choice ...

Three syno. eupterus. ( syno pecking order).
I've got three adult syno. eupterus in a 150 gal tank. They are about 17-18 yrs old and I'm quite attached to them, I originally got them for spawning but they never did (Almost once though). From the almost spawning I gathered I had one female and two males. The female is the beta. I keep hoping th...
