What are the visual distinguishing factors for these two species ?
I have seen several different fish sold as albator and would like to be able to ID better.
Also, how does A. depinnai fit in this group?

I have raised Corydoras for over 40 years. I have tried many methods to get high % hatches and good early survival. The one method that has done best for me is to use the blackworm continers as floating incubators. I prefer the square blue plastic type. I use the mesh bottom tray and cut a styrofoam...

With all that waterflow you might want to try a fast water cat...Aspidoras pauciradiatus ?? They love the fast water currents.

I think the pool sand is very abrasive on their barbels. Check the last pic...they apear shorter and worn ??
C sterbai seem to be a long lived cory...I have 10 wild one that came in at 1". They are well over 4 years old now. Some of the females are 2"+.

Take a plastic shoe box. ($2 Wal Mart) Place 2" of their tank water in clean box. Place the corys in the box for observation. Looking down on top of them gives a very good perspective for "guessing" cory sex. Females, if well fed, look "plumper" than males. Of course these a...
