L-168 male on eggs today

This is my first spawn of L-168. I took the best pics I could. He was fanning so hard, I had to take a million pics to get a couple with a view of the eggs. male on eggs http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/fanfins/L-168oneggs4-11-08001.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/fanfins/L-168one...

Re: L-318 breeder set up and fry pic

Do you put the dad and the cave in the breeder box ? And when do you take the dad out then ? I wait for the fry to gain their pattern, then I remove them from the cave. By the time they have a pattern, they have about absorbed their yolk and are strong enough to survive without the care of dad fann...

Re: L-66 male on eggs in cave

Here's a pic of eggs and a pic of juveniles. These are pics of when I pulled fry from the cave and he had eggs and fry and they all came out. I put the eggs back in the cave and he went back to work on them as if I never did anything. He's a good dad. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/fanfins/L...

L-318 breeder set up and fry pic

I have been spawning L-318 since June of 2006. I have 3 female and one male and he is a good little worker. I raise the fry in breeder boxes with the parents. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/fanfins/Multifryplecotanksapricotfry018.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd60/fanfins/fry4-11-0...

You can see these tiny guys look just like their parents as soon as they leave the cave. This batch had 16 fry.

I have been spawning L-66 for a few years now. I usually get 30-32 eggs each spawn. Cave is 2" tall, 3" wide, and 7" deep.

Re: 8 foot X 24 wide X 12 tall, what would you do?

I would fill it with juvenile 114's and when they are large enough to sex, give me a trio. You won't have space to breed them all, so you'll have to share with me and Andy when they get big. Just think, they should be large enough to sex by the time he gets back from N.Dakota(or wherever he has to g...

Re: Say it isn't so...

I was hoping that someone out there would have a simular idea as to what is going on with the exportation of these fish. I am still having trouble getting them in. Needless to say, I am watching my spawning groups more closely. If I can't get them from the wild, I might as well make sure I get as ma...

Re: Golden Vampire pl*co (Leporacanthicus heterodon)

In the first picture of both fish, the fish on the top left has shorter pectoral fins and a more rounded head. I think it's a female. The fish on the bottom right has much longer pectoral fins and seems to have a more pointed head. I would guess it to be a male. I would have to say it looks like a p...

Say it isn't so...

I have been told by my wholesaler that ALL Queen Arabesque/King Tiger/333 types are now banned from exportation out of Brazil. Does anyone have any info saying the same thing or oposing it?

Hi andy. I would have to agree that they are 2 boys and 2 girls. I have a group of the same or a simular fish at home.
