Re: L200 Green Phantom, need tankmate suggestions
Got it, thanks for the help. I currently have him with my little snowball pleco in a 15 gal tank to properly acclimate. He hasen't eaten yet, but do you have suggestions for getting him healthy and ready to put in the big tank? I'm worried that I won't be able to get him to eat and be lively.

Re: L200 Green Phantom, need tankmate suggestions
I figure though the featherfin likes pellets, and won't even consider veggies or algae wafers which the L200 can eat.....I was thinking of getting some peaceful new world cichlids as mid swimmers.

L200 Green Phantom, need tankmate suggestions
I just bought a L200, I was wondering if anyone has good suggestions for tankmates. I've got a 75 Gal, and so far I plan on putting him with my featherfin cat. Also if anyone has any good suggestions or experiences with their L200, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Awesome. I'm in the process of looking for a hood/light for this tank as well. What would you recommend as far as a bulb/lighting goes?

COOL thanks apistomaster. I will attach two of those to both of my eheim's. That should help the flow be where I want it to be.

Re: Water flow for plecos
So really how do you know enough is enough? I guess my search thru the net hasen't given me a solid definition as to what I should have in my tank. My setup includes two canister 2217's plus airstones. Would you say that, that is enough?

I have 2 2217 eheim filters for my 75 gal pleco tank. Do I need to add more waterflow or is it sufficient flow with those 2 eheim's?

Re: Snowball pl*co question.....
my pleco has stayed the same size since I've gotten up, can I expect him to stay only 2-3 inches in length? He also shares the same hiding spot as my sailfin syno cat!

Re: Need filter setup help!
I personally want to keep some south american cichlids, with plecos/syno catfish. I'm thinking two 2217's, but I'm clueless as to if I need anymore other then that.

Catfish chasing each other?
Hi I have two smaller catfish, one featherfin and another one of the "hybrids" from petsmart. Both are around 3-4 inches now with the featherfin being fatter. They constantly chase each other around, in my 15 gallon tank. I know the tank is small atm, but I'm letting my new 75 gal cycle. A...

Re: Snowball pl*co question.....
Not easy to tell from the photo, but it looks like a Hypancistrus species - possibly Hypancistrus sp(L201) or Hypancistrus contradens . But I could be wrong - there are at least half a dozen species that look pretty much the same (and more than one that is found in the shops under the name of "...

Snowball pleco question.....
Has anyone noticed that these little guys hide ALL day, and ALL night? I mean I've had this guy for 3 weeks and all he does is hide in a decoration. Is he stressed, or is this normal for the duration of a plecos life? Disappointing!
