Any advice on feeding them?

I had them up looking at them, and 1 had much longer odontodes, than the other 3.

At what size do they start breeding?
Right now i only feed them with vegi tablets, can i feed them frozen foods like bloodworms and artemia, to get them in condition?

Anyone who can sex my 4 L397, they're about 7-8 cm.

First spawn i saw one egg outside the cave,it was pure white, but else only the females have a sunken, and were active around the cave, so i think he eats them instandly.
I keep then in 30 degrees water.

When do i know if the male is just inexperienced or a egg eater?

You misunderstand me, maybe my not so good english is the reason.

When I write investment may perhaps think that I compare them with shares, I do not.
What I wanted to write was that when they live as long as they do, they are worth spending money on, even if they cost 100 times more than a guppi.

It matches more with what I was thinking. I see Hypancistrus Zebra as an investment, compared with guppies who only live for a few years. I mean how old are they, when the stop being sexual active?
And how long is the estimated lifespan?
I read about 10-15 years old, but somehow i think they can get older.

Ancistrus can't handle to much protein, especially young fry.

Feel sorry for you're loss.

But you need to provide us with more information, such as:
Temperature.
Waterchange.
uS.
Foods.

And so on.

How hard water can Hypancistrus zebra spawn in, and will the eggs hatch? Have anyone spawned zebra's in water with around 1000 Microsiemens? Number 2 from the top is certainly a female.
I'm not 100% sure about the bottom one to the right, could be both, but my guess would be a female too.

I didnt change any water for 2 weeks, then feeded with high protein diets, like Repashy meat pie. I changed 50% with cold soft water after 2 weeks, it lowered the temperature from 30 till 25 degrees.
