Re: what was the highlight of CatCon for you?
Major Dittos to all the names dropped by everyone here so far.... For me a couple of the major highlights were putting faces to names I have corresponded with but had not met personally before this wknd..... In fact, I probably have seen some of these folks before and being pretty new (to catfish) d...

Re: compatible schooling fish to live with L-263
I like the Rummy nose idea... I have had such bad luck with them in the past though.... I will buy a dozen (or more) from LFS and inevitably, they drop off quickly....I may need to try a different source for them.

compatible schooling fish to live with L-263
Anyone have any bright ideas for me.... I am thinking of adding "something" to my L-263 tank, maybe a schooling tetra or ????? It's a 125, and while I don't mind the fact that I have some relatively nocturnal fish residing, it would be nice to add something that wouldn't interfere with my ...

new corys with stress/health problems
Hello: I recently purchased some "wild caught" corys upon observation when they arrived, I concur with the wild caught as the fins seem to be a bit tattered and worn, but my concern is there are some that have a bit of slime on their skin, almost like it is sloughing off.... can anyone rec...

Re: PLECO FRY DYING - NEED SOME HELP PLEASE
all the tanks are BB. Wouldn't an electrical shock have an effect on the cories ? And yikes, how the hang would I check that ? Thanx. Temps are the same. If you had a low voltage issue, you wouldn't necessarily notice it, but it can react on some fish and not others... as i said, younger ones may b...

Assuming your temps were similar...
Just a thought,,, but is the tank grounded... I have heard of younger fish getting zapersped by low current, when it doesn't appear to effect others..... maybe a bad heater or one of the powerheads????
you never know.... might not be enough to feel it yourself....

Re: Leusistic L333
very cool axle!
I would definately grow them up and breed them back to one of the parents and if you have others try another normal colored that is not related to see what you get..
could be one of the parents has albinistic genes...
good luck
cheers

how big are they?
how old are they?
that being said, I would consider going to zebrapleco.com there is a thread on that site for sexing your fish, but......
they are going to want to know how old & long they are......
good luck

Feed what? What temp? What size tank? Define do water changes? More info please . They take a couple of years to get to a mature enough size to spawn. If that sounds on track, then yes, they are slow growing . I feed Live: Blackworms, Whiteworms, grindal worms, frozen: b/s, bloodworms, prepared: Th...

Growing rate for Hypancistris species
I have had 333's, 134's, 66's and a few other varieties, and I am wondering if they tend to be slower growers.. Or can anyone reccomend tips for getting these little buggers to grow... I do decent water changes pretty regularily, feed a mixture of live and prepared foods, but they seem to be pretty ...

Wanted: Air Pump
Hi there:
I am looking for a mid sized air pump... something to run 20-30 tanks.
Linear would be great but I am looking for a used pump, so I won't be too fussy...
thanks
