I've rung around, and it looks like I'll have to pay about £60 for a Hi fin one, so I'm going to get one of the normal fin ones instead for about £30.
Any ideas about if there will be any aggression issues?

Are Baryancistrus demantoides Hi Fin?
Hi, I'm going to buy a green phantom pleco, and I know that there are 2 different species of the L200. I'm just checking that I'm right in thinking that the Baryancistrus demantoides is the hi fin green phantom pleco, and the Hemiancistrus subviridis is the normal finned one?

Re: Sexing L144
Thanks. I got into the habit of calling them L144 as on another forum every time I wrote ancistrus sp(4) I had to explain what I meant.
I'll try to remember to call them by their proper name.

Re: Sexing L144
Thanks for the info, I'm a bit disappointed that out of 7 fish I only have 1 female. I think I'll grow them all on to full size and then sell the excess males and buy 1 more adult female. I've been told that I can sell them for £15 when they are fully grown, does that sound reasonable?

Sexing L144
Hi, I have 4 L144 that I would like to know the sex of, as I plan on keeping 2 breeding pairs in my 210l 4ft mbuna tank.
I have 7 altogether, but 3 of them I know are definitely male (they have big bristles that branch off into 2).
Here are the ones that I'd like to know the sex of:

My New Lemon Bristlenose!!!
Yesterday i bought 7 lovely little lemon BN's. they are great little characters and seem very healthy. they've had cucumber and peas up to now, along with algae wafers of course. they don't seem too keen on the cucumber though, so i'll see if the courgette plants bear any fruit... i mean vegetables ...

Re: Making Room for Plecs?
hi, thanks for the reply. i'll have a think as to where i can stack put the slate without it looking rubbish. when i get them they'll be quite small, so i won't need very big caves straight away, which will give me time to sort out breeding caves.

thanks, i'll get the proper stuff then. my dad has plenty of sealant guns to put it in. :D do you only need to put a little bit on each piece, like when using superglue? and how long should i leave it to dry before putting it back into the tank?

hi, thanks for the help. i think i'll go for the lemon bn's. i have a big piece of bogwood that has a flat bottom to it, so they could breed under that, but i also have tons of spare slate, so i'll have a go at making some caves.

hi, i would really like to breed them, so i think i will go for the bristlenose. i have found a shop that will take the fry at 1" for £1 each, so i won't have any trouble moving them on. but i'm not sure whether i should go for the lemon bristlenose, or the common bristlenose. i really like both of ...

hi, i'm not really sure. i'm looking for a plec that grows no larger than 6" that i could possibly breed in this tank without becoming totally over run with babies. i do have another decent sized tank, so if i had loads of babies i could split the parents up for a while. i do like bristlenose plecs ...

which fish for new tank
hi, i'm getting a juwel rekord 60, and i'd like to breed a species of cory in it. it's been suggested that i get sterbai, panda, wiezamani, green lasers or gold lasers. which do you think would be best suited to my tank, and which could i breed relatively easily? i'd have to keep the adults and the ...
