Early this morning i had a lock in my tank with L339, and yes, there it was eggs from my fish. :D
The color is light yellow and about 2 mm in diameter. I belive there is about 20-50 eggs in the cave where my A-male is taking good care of them now.

All I can do for now is to pray for a lot of fry ...

My fantastic L-339 are spawning at this moment.
The A-male has blocked the cave with an female inside. The male is on top of the female and vibrate with his backpart of body over and beside the male. They have been in this cave for almost 24 hour now.

I would be more than happy with some more fry ...

I think it would be a bad ide if you put all four caves in your tank. What you can risk if you do that, are that the male fish never vill be in a cave for som time but change from one to another all time.
What you should do, is to put one cave in your tank, and use rock and wood to create som ...

I will do my best for taking more and better pics of L-339 in the future. Tonight when i feed my hypancistrus, I spotted one more i the tank. Now I know for sure, I have four fry of h. lunaorum in my tank

I have used a 110 liter tank with sand-substrate, a few rock and some driftwood to give the fish some hide and one single cave.
Temp 27+
Ph 6,5
Gh 3

Replace 30% of the water once a week. When i replace the water i lower the temp 2-3 Degrees.

I have two L177 in a 180L aquarium and sometimes they are fighting a little bit. I feed them with pleco tabs and once a week i give them shrimp pellets.
They are about 12 cm, in good shape and healthy

Hi all friends.
Finaly i got a few pic of my L-339 fry.

I tried to catch all three fry, but one of them escaped.
Anyway i catched two of them.
Now they are inside this box.

I thougth everyting was lost to day.
No male or fry was in the cave when i did som waterchange :(

Well, that was that.

But when i saw a fight betveen to malefish and had a better look inside the tank, there was 3 smal fry under a rockformation :an:

Phuuu.
I'm so happy.

Some pics of my L-339

As you can see there is som differens between the adult's color and spots.

The first pic shows the male, using his fin to keep up circulation in the cave. All of the fry is hiding inside in the upper right corner.

Photos and details of the breeding would be very welcome for inclusion in the Cat-eLog.

Tonight when i cheked my L339, i looked in a cave where one of my male of the hypancistrus have been for some weeks.
And to my big suprice there was 5-6 fry in the cave with the male.
