Festivum have longer fins and arched, culminating in a mustache (and looks like a Chinese dragon magic). Aureum has almost the entire surface of the pectoral fins speckled spots.

Thanks for your help and explanation. I would say that different food is not the reason of my St.aureum colour. I am using normal food, , and slice of hard cheese sometimes).

The other fish I would call Sturisoma aureum .

I'm not sure. I have adult Sturisoma aureum. Other sturisoma may not be an adult but it is quite different....maybe my aureum is not sturisoma aureum. Is it?

What is a catfish? Sturisoma festivum is on the back. The festivum is brown and the other is silvery.
