I had similar problems with wild caught Sterbai. No problems with their offspring or other locally raised Sterbai.

Yes. Lots of chasing and aggressive/show-off dashes to the surface.

I think the best indicator for my Sterbai is when they start activly cleaning areas to put their eggs on.

MTS should be OK and probably beneficial. Not sure about any of the other snails.

It might be worth a try to save the "waste water" from the active breeding tanks water change and putting it into the tank that you are hoping to induce spawning.

If the sp indicates that it hasn't been described, how does that relate to say L333? Isn't the L333 label a description like the Zebra description on the L046?

I'm not sure what you mean by a white list, but I agree that any new fish identified would not be on their Conditional List unless it was petitioned and accepted.

The same thing happens with the Peckoltia. I'm speculating, but, with the price and demand for the L046, someone may have already successfuly petitioned the state. If so, I may be able to get copies of that petition.

Current theory is bundling up short term and storing it long term.

If you're going to be using sand blasting sand, I think you'll find it very clean compared to other sands.

Ammonia 0 - .25 ppm

Nitrite less than .3 ppm

Nitrate ~ 5 - 10 ppm

That's probably very similar to my tap water. Ph 6.8 - 7.1 and soft. From the link to the pics., I think it's probaly a fungus infection.
