Hello there!
Well, unfortunatly I haven't seen any amphibian species, on the other hand I guess this website provides the best information on amphibians you can find http://www.ra-bugio.org.br/anfibios_pererecas.php?pg=0class=pg on my town.
I know it is in portuguese, but if you click on the ...

Wow Hudson,
wonderful cats you have there, huh?
I'd love having that second one.. (the big mouth black one)
bu there is't anything like that on my area.. and no fish store would be interested in bringing it to me.
How cold is that river?
is it natural or a drainage?

Hey Hudson!
Manaus? not fair! that is a mecca for catfishes!
Well, I guess catfish here are just different, very few species, but some are quite interesting, such as Scleromystax Barbatus.
However, my main goal when posting those pictures was, to show how road side water channels irrigating rice ...

Hello there,

Re: A little adventure on a local stream..
is that so?
kronei?
Too bad the S. Kronei page isn't working..
I want more details on how to raise, and possibly breed them.
My city is one of the hottest cities on my state, and that stream's average temperature is 15ºC
all too weird..
Anyway, thanks for the info!

hey there Yann!
Well, I'm afraid you are more than right about the corydora, it is definetly an ehrhardti.
Talking about the ancistrus, I still think it is a multispinis, due to the location it was caught in, and the pattern of its spots.
When it comes to the Rineloricaria, I give up, simply ...

That's right!
The fun fact is, that the water on this stream is so clean, and unpoluted that it's also the main water source on this area. It is only 20 minutes away from a 600k inhabitants city centre. The temperature is not as hot as in the amazon, the water is a little cold though(20ºC, quite ...

Too bad the Scleromystax macropterus are forbidden.. I don't really think that the southern Brazilian states are threating it to extinction. The main problem on fish smuggling comes from northern/northeastern states, where the real beauty is!
