Thanks for the replies. I think I'll give the fry another week. At the end of next week I'm heading home for a couple days (at college now) and will probably move the fry then..

Would hate to have something happen to him since he is the only fry I've raised this far.

Oh and btw..the main tank ...

aenus fry. Just under and inch long. Eats flake, shrimp pellets, tubifex, and some small bloodworms

When can I move my fry back to the main take. He's about a month old and doing well. But sometime soon I need to redo the tank he's in...

I can't see the pic so I can't say what it is.

I've transported cories over an hour with out any problems.(nearest lfs is an hour away)

And my cories have just fine in a 5g bucket on the 3.5hr trip home from college...

maybe just bad cories? Do they act that way in the bag, or when you put them ...

too bad I'm stuck in college, here in South Dakota otherwise I'd be at the MAS auction.

I'm down in Albert Lea when I'm home from college, which usually doesn't match up with the MAS meetings.

Oh ya, has anyone noticed an egg laying preference? Last time they laid the eggs on the right side on the amazon sword. But the amazon sword moved to the left this time...but they are still laying eggs on the right side...we'll see if they continue this

Woke up this morning to find that our heater in the house was not working. Not cool since todays high is suppose to be -5. But the repair man came early and got everything fixed. And in that time I noticed my aenus were spawning again.(They had done this before christmas break, but none of them made ...

This is just the one cory again. Two shots of it, hopefully it'll help in id-ing the one...still need to try and get pics of the other.

Ya I'm hooked :) I'm going home for christmas break today and I going to bring back a 10g tank and I have a 30g up here at school thats not in use. I plan on making them planted tanks as well as breeding tanks :)

My LFS usually has some different types of cories but nothing is ever ...

I had a bristlenose that would fall asleep on the glass and then a fish would nudge him and he would fall to the ground and finally wake up

I have an airstone driven corner filter...I do have a spare filter media..so before I leave could I take the one thats in use and lay it on the bottom of the tank for the fry to eat off of, and then put a new one in the filter??

So I've had my fry for about 4 days and they are doing rather well.. Did a count today and have 9 left.

But I have a possible problem. I'm going home for christmas break this weekend and will porbably be gone for a week or two, and I'd like to be ablet to keep my cory fry alive.

Starting to show some color..and started eating brine shrimp today

Well they hatch alittle bit last night (1 did I think) and then they rest are going today. I've got 5-6 for sure and another 4-5 eggs to hatch. I lost maybe half of my 27 eggs to fungus. Not too bad for my first time.

I did manage to get a pic of one of them.

Well some of the fish started to eat the eggs. But I was able to save 3 off of the heater that they couldn't get to. So I put those three on a piece of cly pot, and into the 5g that I setup.

I fed the fish and did a partial water change and they started to spawn again. So I got 11 new eggs on a ...

I did cooler water changes for 5 days with my aenus and today (6th day) they spawn. I also feed them a lot of frozen food

Well I woke up this morning to some happenings in the tank. I looked and saw one of my male aenus scurrying about then I saw him hook up with a female and assume the t-position. Then I saw the eggs in her fins. She tried to stick them to a bottom of a plant, but that didn't work so now I think they ...

ya um..calm down..like I said I didn't see that.

I'd say bump up the filtration if you can, otherwise you'll have to do the extra water changes..depends on if you have money to get another filter I guess

what kinda sharks are they?
And while I'm asking questions..how big are all of the fish?
And what size tank?

This guy was sold to me as a cory aneaus but I knew that was wrong..too many rays in the dorsal fins.
