IDK if there are any books in there, which is why I said you do your homework and perhaps glean something..
You are totally right . . . thank you for that. :d

And The Manual Of Tank Busters is on it's way, I ordered it! :d

Re: Shipping Live Catfish

There are several ways, BTW it goes for many other spiny and toothy fish, not only the catfish. There are thicker PE bags. There are 15 mil or some such clear PVC bags. One can fashion a sack or a box out of 45 mil rubber and place this in a secondary plastic sack. Also, one can place a hard(er) pl...

Shipping Live Catfish

In the past, I've shipped a variety of fish I've bred, with out issue.

I recently thought . . . many catfish have spines that easily poke through plastic bags.

So how do you safely pack and ship a large catfish to prevent the bag from being pierced and leaking all over the place?

Re: Monster Catfish Book?

I would suggest starting with regular books about fish keeping. I have 10+ years keeping goldfish and tropical fish. I already have plenty regular fish keeping books, so I'm looking for something beyond that. smile1 There are a few, but this is the best of them. https://www.planetcatfish.com/books/...

RTC and TSN for Aquaponics?

I'd like your thoughts on using Redtail Catfish (Phractocephalus hemioliopterus) and/or Tiger Shovelnose Catfish (Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum) or the hybrids, for aquaponics. This would be in a 1000 gallons (or more) pond or tank, and the fish would be kept as ornamental fish. What are your thoughts ...

Monster Catfish Book?

Are there any good books on the care of Monster Catfish? I'll have some indoor pond space soon and I'm looking to learn! At work, I'm allowed to read books, but no phones or other devices can be used. It would be nice to have a Monster Catfish book to read while I'm sitting there bored. Please reply...

Re: Bristlenose losing Bristles!

Do you think the amount of water changes would affect the bristles? PH and Ammonia/Nitrate levels stay very stable. krazyGeoff, did your bn ever have red tips on the bristles? I plan on moving the fish into a 55 gal tank soon and I want the bn to be healthy before the move. The tank will be very un...
