Fighting BN males
I have just put two possible pairs of albino BN plecos into a 90 gallon tank. The two that I suspect are males have been fighting for about 30 minuts now. The tank is filled with driftwood, about 10 pieces with one piece being huge. Will they settle down and adopt seperate houses or will they contin...

A method I have never seen anybody else talk about but works great for me when I feed zuccinin is to use those heater clamps. They are about 3 inches long with two suction cups and two clamps for holding on to a heater. They hold a zuccini half perfectly. By the time it comes out of the holder there...

STINGRAY, the largest has been in my possesion since 1988, next one since 94, next two since 98 and smallest one since 2000. Maybe there food has something to do with their colour? They are fed trout chow as a base with a variety of other frozen, live and flake foods. I have never seen any others th...

Sorry to disappoint you oneoddfish but I am a male. The name is an old one from when I had a CB. Thank you for the praise on the fish. I have had fish non stop for the last 20 years and on and off for 6 before that. I married a very understanding lady, she puts up with my fish and even goes to aucti...

I used to have a breeding pair of H. thoracatums. One day while going through the room feeding all the fish worms, I came to their tank. Now lets set this up right. In my left hand I am carrying a tub full of worms, with my right I am picking them up and feeding the tanks. When I came to this tank m...

Dinyar, thanks for your reply. I am not 100% sure on the sexes but am fairly confident that I have two females and three males. I have not been willing to stress them and pull them out to try and vent them. I have no experience in this area and would prefer not to try it. I see where I should but st...

Whiptails in need of ID's
I have two types of whiptails I can not identify. Hopefully you folks here can help me out. There are two photos labeled type 1 and 4 labeled type 2. The one labeled type 1 breeds all the time but I have been unable to raise any of the fry. The ones labeled as type 2 are a group of 4 I picked up as ...

I have 5 large S. angelicus in a tank that is 72X20X20 inches. They squabbled a bit when they were introduced and when new ones are introduced. I treat them like cichlids in this regard. Re-arrange everything before. My cats range form 8 to 13 inches and 5 to 15 years old. Any of you folks have any ...
