Had a conversation re this species. Descriped as being similar to C.melanistus but with longer snout & clear caudal. C.amandjanea possibly?
Anyway hoping to receive 5 next week.

It's from a wholesalers.
I should briefly explain my situation. I'm disabled & house bound but I have a mate with a shop who lets me know whats available & saves any I want.
Presently they're still at the wholesalers & I don't even have a discription! In the past I've had C.'latus ...

I have the opportunity of obtaining this Cory.
Anybody know which species this is likely to be?

Do I feel like an idiot!
Went in the fishhouse this morning to discover the cause of the redness in the Cory is due to some kind of hemorrhagic infection, I presume. I've had this fish for several months and have no idea what's caused it. Started a course of Myxazin but think it's ...

First let me say the photo is not the best but let me assure you that in no way is this fish dyed!
As I said 'normally' the rear half is paler, a 'pastel' red. I have a trio, two males & a female.
Theres an obvious colour difference between them.
They came from the wholesalers via my mate who saw ...

At last got a photo of one off my unknown Corys. I've never seen anything similar. Normally the rear half is more of a pale reddish colour.
Opinions please.

Can anybody explain use of Alder cones as anti fungal agent re Cory eggs.
Do they have to be removed within a certain time period?
Is a water change crucial?

I've got several species of Corys that I can't identify. Anybody any ideas on these two -



Nearest I could find was C.loxozonus.

Corydoras pantanalensis. Anybody got any info re this species.
I'm pretty sure this is one of my unknown species. Emerald green back, pale coppery belly. Small circular markings appearing in caudal & on body on a couple.

I've found that soaking the cubes in hot water makes them sink. I find those from Germany absorb water quicker than the British type.

Has anybody used FLUBENOL 15 to treat Corys for parasites? According to the write up it's alot simpler to use than something like Sterazin. I presume it's as effective.

Anybody had any experience with feeding decapsulated (non hatching) Brine Shrimp eggs compared to feeding naupuli.

Re the HMF info - Thanks guys. Now I've got my head round the brilliant simplicity I'm certainly going to use them in all my tanks when my fish-house is completed. Just have to find a supplier for the foam.
