Tested my water before a 30% (which turned into more like a 50%) water change:

ph-8.0
ammonia- less than .25ppm but higher than 0ppm
nitrite- .50ppm
nitrate- .40ppm

after water change:

ph 8.0
ammonia- 0ppm
nitrite- 0ppm
nitrate- .10-.20ppm

Someone gave me this fish because they didn't want him anymore. Lately he's been acting strange and I need to ID him before I can figure out if his behavior is normal or signs of stress/illness.
