Re: Trachelyichthys Exilis Eggs

Hi Yann,
The eggs were purely scattered about on the substrate the first few times I found eggs, most recently some were found in tall grassy plants. I'm always hoping to see more eggs but nothing since last failure...

Re: Trachelyichthys Exilis Eggs

Not had much to report, a few eggs that disintegrate here and there but never a big clutch...until yesterday! I found 15 eggs in total, and have separated them this morning into 9 healthy and 6 questionable. A gentle amount of meth blue and a katappa leaf has been added to the healthy ones, and a st...

Re: Rio Tapajós

Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful photos, not only of the fish but of their natural surroundings as well! Great timing on your part as this is exactly what I've been looking for recently - very useful for my upcoming aquarium project, and I'm sure many others' too. Do feel free to post u...

Re: What is your profession?

I just finished a degree in Computer Games Art, digital 3D models and 2D art...but haven't snagged a job yet haha. Considering a career in ichthyology or possibly doing something like aquaponics. Typical young person, not a feckin' clue but I like art and fish ;) haha.

Re: Trachelyichthys Exilis Eggs

They really are, they do hide a lot but I can still enjoy seeing them at feeding times or sometimes they just fancy a swim about. Unfortunately I've had no survivors this run, not sure what happened. I had 4 hatch and then they've all shrivelled up and died :(( I got some good advice from another us...

Re: Trachelyichthys Exilis Eggs

Already hatching today, must be the warm weather. Looks like only 4 made it but that's double last time so here's hoping a fry will make it to adult hood this time.

Trachelyichthys Exilis Eggs

Hi, I wanted to just quickly share with you guys my driftwood catfish. I have four lovely t.exilis, I'm not actually sure of gender ratios as they typically zoom past me to hoover up dinner then go back in their hiding spots but here's one with a jelly belly after dinner. http://i.imgur.com/ISQAVE8l...

Re: Can you ID my little corydoras please?

Thanks for another idea there corylady. Since moving all my corys to the big 180L tank they've all grown up...especially the 'runt'! SHE is now the largest, fattest cory in the tank - I've seen her spawn and lay eggs ( and then eat them :(( ) but she remains a lot paler/silvery than the others. Sham...

Re: Can you ID my little corydoras please?

Thanks for your reply. Poor little fellow, at least I don't have to hunt down more for friends! Will he ever grow up, or is he doomed to forever be like this?

Can you ID my little corydoras please?

Hi, I had what I thought were four peppered corydoras but a month has past and the smallest has hardly grown. The others are growing up, looking nice and fat and just like peppered corydoras. They also swim about a lot as a 3, while the smallest one does his own thing. They sometimes follow him but ...
