Re: which otocinclus?
I bought some of these from Msjinkzd. They are really cool. They seem to be more active than my other otos (I now have 4 species) and are the smallest of them all. In fact, I like them so much that I ordered some more. They arrive tomorrow

Plagiarism - Who do I report it to?
Hi all,
I found a really nice article about dwarf cories online (NOT on this site!). But then I realized it is the same article by Hans-Georg Evers in Amazonas (September / October 2013)... and the site I found did not even mention Hans-Georg Evers' name or indicate that they had permission to use ...

Cory cats are very addictive so you will probably want to get every available type
I think there are many factors to consider. For one thing, what is your tank size and what other fish do you have in it? Also, how long has the tank itself being running?

Re: Long winded request for help with inexplicible Tank Deat
also Prime is a good choice for water conditioner. but don't randomly put it in the tank each week. only add to new water that's coming into the tank. 2-3 drops per gallon. so basically just treat new water.
Agreed.

I always drip acclimate... the temperature thing is never an issue because I have no heaters in my tanks - they are all room temp. No issue there for me.

Yes, happened with one of my sterbai cories. The guy who owned her gave her to me because she was the only cory he had. At that time she was in a tank with bushynose plecos.
She has many cory friends now

C. Venezuelanus carrying 19 eggs??
Hi there,
Earlier this afternoon, as I threw some food into one of my cory tanks, I noticed a female C. venezuelanus carrying what looked like one egg, closely followed by a male--in usual cory fashion. Then I saw a group of eggs on the glass under the filter's flow.
So I waited a bit for them to ...

At what age do C. duplicareus spawn?
I have a tank with panda and duplicareus cories in it. The pandas spawn constantly and produce regular and long-finned fry. I introduced the 9 duplicareus as juvies to their tank a few months ago and have read accounts of them hybridizing with Pandas... ((Seems that Pandas have a reputation for ...

Re: Duplicareaus Breeding
Sand on the bottom does make a big difference for many cories. They truly prefer it. It seems to make the system healthier too as more fry survive when there is sand.
At what age are your duplicareus starting to spawn? I have some in a tank with my panda cories and I am worried they may hybridize.

Agreed, after you switch all the lights off wait about 30 minutes and then drop in some bottom feeder pellets for the cories.

The smaller ones (i.e. middle and back) are Corydoras bilineatus. I have 5 of them and really enjoy them. They are more like the elegans cory and they swim mid-water more than my other cories.

Hey there ... I know this is an old post but I stumbled across it and noticed that one of the original questions was never answered, i.e. What cories are these? Answer: Corydoras habrosus, one of my favorites. It is one of the few types of dwarf cories. Love them.

Afaics you've read it the wrong way round and/or ignored (in the good sense; no offence meant) the word "erroneously".
Now that I read it again, you are right - I think I took it differently to how they meant it. Also, I clarified with Rachel O'Leary today and said she that when she ordered ...
