to answer OP questions, i keep mine between 82-84 degree and they seem to do fine. i just make sure there is alot of aeration in the tank and lots of water movement as they seem to enjoy floating right in front of the powerhead.
i dont play too much with water chemistry in any of my tanks. pH at 7 ...

they get fairly easier as they get bigger. i had 3 so far. my largest one passed around due to some infection still unknown (had a hole on the side of the dorsal fin).
i've kept them now with so cal water, wc straight from the tap, and only feed it market shrimp. As long as extreme water chemistry ...

hello,
need some help. i got a 5 inch tigrinus with a little bubble like thing growing on the side of the body. so tempted to just pop it. does anyone have any idea on what it is and how i can cure it. wanted to post a pic but cant get a good pic of it.
