Yes, one of them have a few spots there 👍.

They have settled nicely in the new tank, but not seeking caves yet.
Soon I will begin changing water parameters - maybe it will do something

I had not removed algae from the glass the last month, cause I knew the L200s were coming - it was all green when they got in. Today they ate most of it...

Re: What affects gender of fry?

Bas Pels - true, there are lots of different variables. Only difference in this case is temperature - both in when eggs were fertilized, hatched and first weeks of growing

Re: What affects gender of fry?

Ok. The batch that all turned male was hatched at 30 degrees C. I have another batch that hatched at 27 degrees C. They are not that big yet, but I will return here and tell how they turned.

Thanks to you all:)

Re: What affects gender of fry?

Hi

Yes, they all have odontodes on their tails. I also couldnt believe it, but I just had a close look, and all of them have it.

But what can cause that they all became male? Temperature? Ph? Conductivity?

Re: L200 eggs...

Dicten - close, but I am in Denmark:)

Jobro - sure. Temperature around 28-30 degrees celsius, 200 ms, ph about 7.
There are one 10.000 liter/hour and one 6.000 liter/hour pumps in the tank, so yes, the water moves around:)

Re: L200 eggs...

When I had a spawn on L128 they were slow growers like yours.. I think these L200s have absorbed their yolk quite fast - faster than my L128s did. I recon the batch was about 30 eggs. 4 wigglers didnt make it and one that was almost developed died. So about 5 deaths so far, which leaves about 25 ali...
