ok just a while ago my pleco was sucking on the cucumber for like 2 minutes and then swam away, did it eat anything or what the hell was all that sucking about?

My pleco wont eat the cucumbers

i slice up the cucumbers and put it at the bottom of the tank floating by a heavy string barely touching the surface and its all there the next day, isnt the pleco suppose to eat :cry:

Thanks, i put the apple in there but it didnt eat any when i get some $$$ very soon ill get the proper food, why does my pleco's tail keep waging at one side, is it sick

well his belly is kinda flat but not round nor caved in and its still young so im just feeding him goldfish flakes which flot to the bottom of the tank or oscar pellets, is there a special food for plecos

Is my pleco starving?

For the past days i have never seen STIX(pleco) eat anything before. Other than oscars and goldfishes that i have had in the past how the hell am i suppose to tell if the poor thing is eating or not?

Thanks ill do, ill put some apple in there now then if theres any left ill take it out in the mornig. One more thing if the apple stays in there to long can it mess up amonia or something?

A normal Pleco diet?

i wanted to know if i can give my baby pleco(STIX) fruits like apples, grapes, or any other vetgetable like carrots other than cucumber. Tell me all you know, :shock: . SIKE but try to help me out

ok i got a small tiger oscar and i maintained that when the pleco and the oscar get bigger that i will get a bigger tank, right know there both about the same size i heard that oscars a pretty agressive, If you have any advise that i should know about these two babies(2 inich) let me know.

ok this happened many times before with my gold fishes, for some reason the filter always sucks up the small fishes that like to swin in current( black fin Shark) and i want to know how do i prevent this, Gladly i didnt put any salt in the tank and the pleco is ok in a boat at the bottom of the tank ...

ok, guys it really was to late. My filter sucked up the black fin and now its dead and i want to know what would be a good mate for the pleco now. Im very sad that the shark die and i didnt want it to die this way so now what???

so what if i put 5 table spoons of salt in the tank with the pleco will the pleco die,

Pleco:2 1/2 inch

black fin shark: 3 inch

tank size: 40 gallon

I just bought a pl*co and a brackish balck fin shark, i wanted to know if that is a good mix in a 40 gallon tank and do i need to put salt in the water?
