Now that they've decided on territories they're not as visible, though easy to find. One is a piggy and as soon as the blue/moon lights are on he's on the food and nobody else is allowed near until he's finished.

Kudos for working so hard to give this guy a chance for a *real* life

They're 3-4" TL. They've decided to all hang out at one end of the tank where it's easiest for me to see them. (I'm sure this isn't for my convenience but rather some criteria of their own )

These guys have pretty much staked out their little territories and aren't quite as visible. But the tank is set up so that I can at least find where they're hiding

As usual I can't figure out how to add these guys to My Fish... Anyway, received yesterday from Freshwater Exotics, 2 M, 2 F

It's just great to see the change in Alfred You've done a wonderful job of rehabilitating Alfred. He's obviously now a very happy fish

Thanks for the info. They'll be moved to a 20L when I get it set up. They are a bit less reclusive since I've put 4 baby BNs in with them. Of course the BNs are out and about 24/7 and nothing fazes them.

That could be but it's odd that it's taken her this long to react. In the near future I will be moving them to another tank with rocks. We'll see!

My female has taken to odd behavior in the evening / night. She dashes / thrashes around the tank, throwing sand & plants everywhere. I can hear (but haven’t seen – lights all out) her splashing around at the top of the tank as well. I don’t have photos of dorsal view but there are no white spot...

Too early to tell with Sr. Paz. This is a fairly recent color change and I've only had him just short of a year. I'm sure though that he's not a happy camper these days - after 4 spawns I took him away from his girlfriends

That really is a wonderful transformation (and a happy fish)

I have 4 long-fin baby BNs growing out in a tank with my 2 adult Medusas and they totally ignore each other. The BNs only pay attention to each other - mainly dominance squabbles.

These were wild caught so they're pretty reclusive. But the tank is next to my computer and the caves and driftwood are positioned so I can see what they're up to (or not). I'm far from an expert; just going on the seller's word. They were sexed by venting rather than appearance.

The length of the tail and the large amount of white on it were my first indications of long-fin offspring of a short-fin male x long-fin female.
