L-262 Adults 2m 2f and a proven pair
In 2012 I bought a group of six wild caught adults, then later added four more f1 adults that a local hobbyist was getting rid of. I ended up slowly selling off some of the extras so that I would end up with a group of three boys and three girls. From there two quickly paired off and have been ...

A local LFS owner I know said he imported a group in 1993. He received them as adults, so that would make them 24 at least. Pretty cool I think.

Re: Ancistrus sp. Albino X Albino Equals what?
Hi all,
You are right, something strange has happened.
Albinism is a recessive gene, so albino parents can only have albino fry. However I believe that there is more than one genotype of albino Common Bristlenose. I can't find the post but some-one "Mats P?" gave a pretty full explanation ...

Re: Ancistrus sp. Albino X Albino Equals what?
Well in my experience depending on genetic history of the fish it could be anywhere from 50% albino all they way to 100% albino. The rest would be normal brown.

Re: PLEASE help need you opinions on this Aquabid seller.
I am the original seller of these fish, I shipped him/her the exact fish he/she paid for. His/her complaint was originally that the female was a tad smaller than he/she thought (I misjudged her by a little less than .5 inches). So I agreed to ship him/her a new female, that was larger, under the ...

Re: how often/much water change? pls
To me 50% a week sounds like a great starting point. In my experience I have found you don't need to worry how much water you change a day. A few of my colonies receive 40% water changes a day and I have good results.

Re: New To Breeding Plecos
Thanks! I'll probably do either sand or gravel as substrate then. I think I'm going to do 1 make and either 2 or 3 females and possibly try to breed some type of smaller livebearer at the top level of the tank as well.

You will get the standard bristlenose if you cross phenotypes sometimes. You can get other color but it depends on who breeds with who. Is your green for sale?

Re: Peckoltias, Apistogrammas and caves.
Depends, the cave size required changes based on what size you receive them at. Just keep in mind plecos in general use the cave you don't want them too. My vit. Tend to stay under a pile of driftwood in a quarter of the tank most of the time so you could try that.
