I recently got some pictures of young ones from a UK dealer, sorry but I can't remember who! They do visit this site, so why not post a "Wanted" post in that forum?

Pseudorinelepis genibarbis is the correct current name, Pseudorinelepis pelligrini is a synonym.

I don't know how to sex them other than by examining the genital papillae.

I must say it is unusual here, most dealers recognise that it is easier and more prof...

I think it something all Loricariids do. I have seen it in Otocinclus and Lamontichthys oddly enough although it tends only to happen if the temp. is high and the filters aren't running as well as they should. Anyone seen Pimelodids do it? I could swear my Pimelodus do it but I've never caught them ...

Tim, That's a cool picture, more of those sorts of things for various catfish families would really help. I have to say though that the pelvic fin shape is a little misleading. It is blunt on the red male and more pointy on the blue female. This is the wrong way around, it should be pointy on the ma...

I don't think my fish ever found FD tubifex all that tasty :P . Guppies and hatchetfish oddly were the only things that would eat it and it took an AGE to sink (if it ever did) - not much use in our tanks. Didn't know about the stick it to the glass/rocks trick mind you. Will probably pick up a pack...

Firstly, well done! I would value some pics of the breeding set-up and nests etc, as well as shots of the undersides of the male and female fish. These are great cats but are just "out of fashion" at the moment. I spent a lot of time researching this and releated genera in 2000 when i brou...

Yann,

Yeah, I think a chatroom would be cool but I need some time to sort out a few things before I add even more non-content to the site.

Have you got an example of one elsewhere I can go look at.

Rusty, are you reading this, what do you think about a chatroom?
