true...the owner of the pet store looked surprise when i wanted to get 6 pl*cos of the same species to try breeding. he kept on persuding me to get 1 pl*co for each species. That's verging on scandalous. I must say it is unusual here, most dealers recognise that it is easier and more prof...

I think it something all Loricariids do. I have seen it in Otocinclus and Lamontichthys oddly enough although it tends only to happen if the temp. is high and the filters aren't running as well as they should. Anyone seen Pimelodids do it? I could swear my Pimelodus do it but I've never caught them ...

Tim, That's a cool picture, more of those sorts of things for various catfish families would really help. I have to say though that the pelvic fin shape is a little misleading. It is blunt on the red male and more pointy on the blue female. This is the wrong way around, it should be pointy on the ma...

All~ See below. Got this email in to the site, it has Shane and I some what stumped although we did recommend the person spend some time in the cat-elog and register here. Yeah, I've been meaning to sort through these. Some of them are not quite right or need a bit of attention. Another thing added to the "to do" list!smilingSyno wrote:Just looked up Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps in the library... it has a bunch of L-numbers: L083a, L083b, L083c, L083d, L164 and L196

I don't think my fish ever found FD tubifex all that tasty :P . Guppies and hatchetfish oddly were the only things that would eat it and it took an AGE to sink (if it ever did) - not much use in our tanks. Didn't know about the stick it to the glass/rocks trick mind you. Will probably pick up a pack...

It's a neat place! and it sure is a LOT faster than the old one (probaby because it had to drag the whole planetcatfish-website along with every link) Actually we had the forum on a another page for that very reason I guess you never found it? Doesn't matter now, and, yes, the new forum runs faster...
