Re: Do I believe in miracles......

Yes, they are amazing, I've seen them do this too. One of the reason they are a "good" food fish is that you can catch a bunch of them and as long as they are not directly dried out, they'll stay fresh for longer than most fishes. Glad it worked out for "lucky" the pleco. Cheers,...

Re: Please help me identify these 3 plecos

The colours are with range if we accept that it's a young fish and moreover, it's stressed/reacting to being over blue gravel. Good ID for me!

Good, and it may help to know any other users of the site, like me, would have seen the new image as soon as it was online.

Cheers,

Then it's a caching issue - go to my fish, hold down the shift key and refresh the page - what then is displayed?

Cheers,

Re: My Rubberlip Plecos (L445) are very active during the day.

It depends on the species, and sometimes it can mean the fish is distressed or very hungry. However, seeing your excellent set-up I just think it's very settled fishes. So, well done!

It could be a caching problem, which is still a bug of sorts, but I don't readily know which is the old and which is the new image of L239. Is the pic posted here definitely your old picture?

Yeah, too quick, but the main thing is it’s identified now. :-)

Re: Breeding L200 (Green Phantom) plecos

Assuming you mean Hemiancistrus and not Baryancistrus / you have one species and a pair - did you read the spawning reports? How do they compare to your set-up?

Cheers,

Reminds me of Peckoltia lujani, but, as said, better / more pictures would help.

Re: L240 size

I agree it's not L240, for the reasons well described above. Worth also being clear about SL Vs TL in this discussion. 24cm TL seems about right, but not 24cm SL. I would say about 6-8 years to get to this size in ideal conditions based on L. heterodon I kept for 6 years and got to 6" SL. Jools

Re: Cranoglanis multiradiatus

Thanks HH, so I think I can about make out the humeral process from @dmcat 's excellent pics. If for no other reason than to start a trend, it would be good to get a full shot of the anal fins so we could show/count them too.

Cheers,
