Re: Synodontis granulosus: tank information
Ok. So in view of the opinions it is better that I go on several tanks with one individual per tank outside the spawning period (in anticipation, I would of course test cohabitation and separate the individuals at the first sign of aggression). From what size are they sexable? If I have the means to...

Re: Synodontis granulosus: tank information
Thanks for these informations. So if I take 8, it is better that I wait to be able to distinguish male and female (unless the difference is visible before? ) and keep only one couple (or even two) which will potentially be separated in case of problem. You say that only the reproduction by hormone w...

Re: Synodontis granulosus: tank information
Hello and thank you. I would like to go with a group of 8 but my main question is: can they tolerate several if the number of hiding places and the food is sufficient? Is an 800l tank sufficient for 8 synodontis (tank specific to this species)? I currently maintain 7 Synodontis nigriventris and they...

Re: Synodontis granulosus: tank information
Thank you for your answer. I was thinking of leaving on an 800l (211 gallons) with a maximum of hiding places. The problem with aggressive behaviors is that they depend on many things. I especially had behaviors of the kind with Ameiurus melas of which an individual to kill 3 of these congeners befo...

Synodontis granulosus: tank information
Hello, as I am setting up my fishroom, I start looking for information on a very particular fish: Synodontis granulosus. This is a species that I want to successfully reproduce in the aquarium. I would therefore have a few questions for those who have maintained some and who still maintain some. On ...

Re: ancistrus fry predator
The fry measure 0.5cm (and still have their yolk sac). I gave them and the synodontis were crazy. They pounced on it. They are 10 years old and measure about 10cm. Even penguin tetras and corydoras have eaten it.

ancistrus fry predator
Hello, First of all, I want to apologize for this post but I just saw when separating the male and the ancistrus female that I had spawned again and the eggs have already hatched (they are at the yolk sac stage, 1 maximum day). I already have about fifty little ones to place (which is quite difficul...

Identification Rineloricaria sp red (L010A) and sexing
Hello, I have two Rineloricaria since four years and I doubt that this is two L010A. They are about 10 years. The first: Rineloricaria sp ? Female ? Re: Feed your fish well
Hello, most of the fish will be kept in specific tanks so I could adjust the feed according to the species. If I understand correctly, you advise me instead to feed me a day (which I am currently doing). For food I looked for the repashy and new life spectrum but I can't find them in bulk, do you ha...

Hello I will soon be making my fishroom and I am wondering about the food. Indeed I know roughly what food to give which fish but I have doubts about the quantity but also the frequency. Identify Ancistrus species
Hello, I recently bought a couple of ancistrus, can you confirm the species for me please? I thought about Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus. They measure approximately 12cm (4.7"). https://zupimages.net/up/21/37/sqmp.jpg https://zupimages.net/up/21/37/vahc.jpg https://zupimages.net/up/21/37/chpo.jpg

Re: Cory tank rack
Ok thanks.
If I go on a rack of 12 tanks of 100l / 20g (4 per floor), what would be the ideal flow rate?
Suddenly, the circulation of water would be in cascade or it is possible to make a pipe which can insulate a tank?

Cory tank rack
Hello, wishing to move on to the next stage, I would like to make an aquarium battery with tanks of approximately 96l. My problem is with the filtration.
