Re: corydoras sterbai juvenile
Hi Eric, Thanks for the great info! I do regularly attend SF club meetings and auctions as I am a member. I have been there for a mega auction last month. The Sacramento one is a little too far from where I live unfortunately......

corydoras sterbai juvenile
These fish are just above 1'' in length. $3 each.
The parents of these fish were obtained from different place and therefore unrelated.
Only available for local pickup (East Bay CA: e.g. Richmond, Albany, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Oakland).
Thanks for looking.

Re: Corydoras Sterbai with unusual pattern!
This is because they are still too young.
I breed sterbai and all of my young sterbai look like yours. There is nothing to worry. The pattern will change when they get older and bigger.

Re: Who is breeding C. Eques
A friend of mine who breed farmed commercial freshwater fish suggest me use some hormones and/or feed them fish brains/gonads. Not sure if this would be a good idea...

Re: Who is breeding C. Eques
Males chase females like crazy every time after a water change, but females are never interested. If I still can not get them to spawn, I will sell half of the group (7) to someone else who might have better luck. I am a little tired after more than a year's experiments.

Re: Who is breeding C. Eques
I have a group of 14 large WC individuals and I split them into three tanks with various m/f ratios and water parameters. I have also tried other funny things that are not necessary for other corys.
I have tried a year: no luck at all.

Re: breeding corydoras eques
Niklas & Eric,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion.
Next thing I will try is to only leave 3-4 eques in the breeding tanks. Currently I have 7 and 8, respectively. Not sure if this change will work...
Eric, do you go to SFAS meetings/auctions? I sometimes go.
Best, Ke

breeding corydoras eques
Hi all, In March I bought 15 wild caught C. eques adults. I split them into two 20G tanks. One group has 7 and another has 8. Both have mixed sexes. I have put floating plants and mops in those two tanks. The females have big bellies and males are also quite large. I think that they have reached sex...
