Re: cory i.d. help

First one is CW28. White dorsal finspine rules out C. schwartzi.

Second one is not CW9 "Green laser" but C. melanotaenia.

Re: corydoras trilineatus, or acrensis?

In the sense that they show up from time to time they're not rare, but they're definately not something you see every day. I would expect a shop-price in the range of what you've paid. I bought mine straight from the wholesaler.

Good luck at breeding :)

Re: corydoras trilineatus, or acrensis?

They all seem to be C. copei.

Easy to breed...hmm...I can't recall having heard of this species being bred, but then again; I don't know that many people who keeps them. I have a group myself, but haven't really tried yet...

I see they are like the original posters fish, Ian...and a bit different from my cf. rochai. Adrian has some of my cf. rochai BTW...maybe he has something to say for comparison as I also think he has C118?

...but what are my C118 then?

Well, I'd say it looks a lot like what Ian and I agreed would be close to A. rochai ...picture attatched.

The fish I have as C118 from Eric Bodrock is quite different, bad picture attatched.

Anyway, they are fantastic and beatiful fish! I hope my 4 will grow til breedable size soon... -kim They are incredibly easy to spawn. They generally lay their eggs in the outlet tube of a sponge-filter, on the water return lip of a power filter or in each corner of the tank, above the water line. ...

Re: For Sale : RARE Aspidoras Albater F3 ( ONLY in USA ) !!!

The opinion on this fish in Europe is that it is not A. albater but a new species. This species has been DNA-sequenced, and it will be nice to see how it fall in between the other Aspidoras that has been looked at...I guess we will know around Convention time ;) Anyway, they are fantastic and beatif...

It's fun and interesting to see C115 biotope as I keep and breed that species. The one in the end of the vidio would be CW40 possibly!

But where is the weitzmani? I could not find that?

These come as C. elegans from Manaus, Brazil but clearly they are something else. I keep and breed them and have given some to Erik Schiller in Germany who recently published an article on them where he calls them Corydoras sp. leopard due to the nice colouration of the fry.
