I think your fish might be C. armatus. It looks more high bodied than my C. loretoensis.

Hmm...I have wondered about the same. Bought a group of C. loretoensis lately, and they seem more slender and not so high bodied as the C. armatus. But I agree the differences are limited, especially when they are still very small.

Good luck on the C. panda's. I have noticed that mine lay a lot more eggs at 20-21 degrees celcius than at 24-25 degrees celcius. However, they are easy :-)

I've had the same problem in my Corydoras tanks. Very large planaria (15-20 mm) that ate every egg they could find...and they are very good at finding eggs. Waterchanges, cutting bak the food etc. didn't help, so now I've treated all tanks with Flubenol three days ago. I only saw one single planaria...

turbellaria problems

Hello everyone! Recently some of my tanks have been infested with large turbellaria. They eat absolutely everything that is edible, including all eggs that are being laid. I have tried turning the temperature up to 38 degrees celcius with no avail. I have tried talking to a vet about getting some Fl...

Hello Ian, my fish are between 5 and just over 6 centimetres total length.

I was also considering if they were a spottet type of C. leopardus or something. But, C. lamberti was the closest in my opnion.

Corydoras lamberti?

Yesterday I was lucjy enough to get 5 of these Corydoras. I found them at a friends fish-room and since he had 10, I could get the 5 of them. The question is: What are they? They were labelled as "Corydoras Peru II", and I've come to the conclusion that it might be Corydoras lamberti, as t...

Wouldn't be so worried. I've kept apisto's and corydoras together for some years, and the apisto's killed none of them. In fact, the Corydoras didn't really seem to care if the apisto's were agressive.

Well, the C. nanus turned out to be C. napoensis and the C. diphyes died a coulpe of days prior to me being able to get them, so I bought some C. loretoensis instead.

I'm about to get a bag of each of these species and I have searched the net for info regarding water parameter (temp etc.) with no real result, so I thought I'd ask in here.

Hi, I have 4 of these Corydoras that I picked up from af mixed tank at a LFS. The fish was quite young and had a golden stripe along the back, Now they've matured and they've bred several times, but the golden stripe seems to have faded a bit. The fry are almost a year old and have a golden stripe l...
