The "poop" will lay on top of the sand and therefore it's easier to remove.

I use rainwater...never had any problems with using this. Don't you mean the other way around regarding sexes?...4 male to 2 female? Usually more males than females are recommended, and I usually group my fish this way too (more males than females). I think the dividing of the tank into 2 or 3 sectu...

I have seperate tanks for breeding Corydoras, but I guess it's close to the same as dividing larger tanks. I use HMF-filters i each tank. You could also use a central filter, but i think a large airpump with HMF-filters are perfect. With the central filter you could spread diseases between the tanks...

I would use sand instead of gravel. Some pieces of wood and big clums of javamoss, javafern, or other plants they can hide/lay eggs in if you are so lucky. Temps around 23 degrees celcius would be ok. The light is more important to the plants than to the Corys in my opinion. Corydoras panda would be...

Very nice indeed...I've been thinking of getting some Otocinclus and try to breed them. It is possible, although it seems rather coincidential when it happens. I've been breeding various Corydoras and Parotocinclus jumbo for a while...Otociclus are said to be somewhat similar (i.e. cold water change...

I would think it is a defect swim bladder. I don't think you can do anything about it. If it were my fish, I'd probably killed it and bought a new one.

You could remove the eggs to another tank or container with water from the main tank. If you sieve the water though some cloth or something, you might avoid transferring hydra to the tank. Or remove the fish from the tank and treat the water with methylene blue. I don't know if the methylene blue ki...

Hello Ian, sorry I didn't think about their age. They are at least 4 years old. I have 10 fish in the group (4 females I think).

Could it be they are too young?

Fertile eggs but no fry...

Hi all, my C. davidsandsi are spawning a coulpe of times each week...the eggs are fertile, because they don't fungus, and I've had a coulpe of fry swimming around. The problem is, that even though there are 20-30 eggs every time and none og the fungus, I get no fry. I've tried everything, it seems. ...

They are looking good, besides some fungus on the tail of one of them...they refuse to eat tablet foods...only frozen foods are accepted. Guess I'll have to go out and get some live foods too...

Corydoras pantanalensis or C-05

Hello all... A good week ago I asked for info on C. albolineatus, wich I thought I'd buy yesterday. Unfortunately (for my wallet) they were out of stock. But instead I ended up buying 8 C. pantanalensis, wich I've been searching for for some time now. They are big fish, between 7 and 8,5 centimeters...

Hmm...they don't really look like my C. venezuelanus. Mine has a lot more colour. Dark shiny green spot with lots of rusty/orange around it. I'm not saying yours aren't C. venezuelanus though. I think the colours are just a little pale. Have you bought them recently? Could be that they were't quite ...
