Thanks for the reply but I think I figured it out. I cleaned the tank, took out the filter and fed them. Typically the next day the tank would already be dirty as the picture before but it was like this. So I'm assuming there is an issue with the filter not filtering or backfiring idk, I'm out ...

Here is a picture of part of my tank with the filter, this is what I mean by dirty. I have to change the water (parts of it) like everyday or it gets like this.

Oddly dirty tank
This is probably a silly issue but I'm having problems keeping my cory tank clean. I have a mini might filter in the tank and all it seems to do is catch the sinking food. This is one of my first times using sinking food so I'm not sure if I'm overfeeding, the filter has gone bad, or what the issue ...
