Re: L397 WC available in US

@Narwhal 72

Hi Andy - My bad. I got it mixed up :) Just posted it as lots of folks in Canada and the US are looking high and low for L397s at a reasonable price. If you are ever in Toronto, just give me a holler. I'll give you some L134 F1 fry for free. I have a big group of 17 L134 breeders.

L-401 Breeding Group of 10 WC Plecos

What is a fair price to pay for a young breeding group of 10 WC L401 plecos?

All in perfect health. The buyer is asking for $350.

Re: L-173b from Glaser

TwoTankAmin - It would be great to see pics of L173 and L173b side by side so that we can understand the difference between the two. Look forward to seeing the pics.

How much does L173 fry go for in the US?

Re: As mentioned before... the L236 "identification" game

I know very little about L236 but checked out a group of L236 that was on sale just yesterday. Except one, yours don't look very much like the L236s I saw yesterday or the pics I have seen on the internet. With so much mislabeling going on with L236, it is important to know the source where it came ...

Re: Do you actually find L236 in the wild ???

Can someone please tell me how to upload pics to a thread in this Forum. Thanks :) @TwoTankAmin - Why each person pursue a particular fish can be for very different reasons. Why an expert like you pursued L236 and why an absolute novice like me was interested in them are vastly different. What matte...

Re: L-173b from Glaser

Here's an extract from the authoritative article 'Chaos in Black & White' that appeared in Reef to Rainforest regarding L173 and 173b .... "Hypancistrus sp. L173 is a highly sought-after but controversial form from near Belo Monte. The similarity to H. zebra is striking, especially in juven...

Re: Do you actually find L236 in the wild ???

Thanks for all your comments to my post. I am little bit wiser on this subject thanks to all of you'll. Yesterday I checked out and adult group (3+ inches) of 10 L236 Glaser. They are the offspring of the L236 Glaser group that was first imported to Canada. Both the seller and importer/breeder are k...

Do you actually find L236 in the wild ???

I have the opportunity to purchase a group of L236 Glaser. There is a lot of debate that the L236 does not actually exist in the wild and that they are actual hybrids of other L species like L333/L066 that have since been line bred. The L236 is being referred to by some as a 'fancy' pleco. To add to...
