Re: What can be wrong?!?!
Can I ask jasneaker, what other fish species are in the same aquarium as the L024's ?
There are altums, a male bristlenose pleco, 2 chubby plecos, and 2 farlowella (twig catfish).
Thank you.
The altums (Pterophyllum altum) need the higher temperature (28C/30C) whilst angelfish ...

Re: What can be wrong?!?!
Just looking at the L024 on this website it says tank water temperature of 23-27C (73-80F).
It's a sad day that I lost my L24 juvi.
1. Water parameters
Temperature range. 28 C
pH. 6-6.2
Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, levels. 0
Water change frequency 1-2 times per week 30%

Re: CW009 and temperature?
The CW009 (Green Laser Cory) are from the Rio Ucayali & Marañón systems in Peru.
The long-term temp should be around 23/24/25C (74-77F) but can go as high as 27C (80F) or as low as 21C (70F).
I tend to keep fish within the middle of the water temperature range long-term.
A beautiful Corydoras.

Re: L226 Vs L204 eating question
Thank you for the replies, appreciated.
I suspected they would be equally messy, just wanted to check.
Seems like I won't be stocking the L226 (Panaqolus changae).
Thanks
Stephen

L226 Vs L204 eating question
L226 (Panaqolus changae) versus L204 (Panaqolus albivermis) eating question.
Both the above are wood-eating plecs.
I have recently re-homed my L204's due to the amount of wood they eat and the amount of poop they excrete.
I was forever cleaning the aquarium and cleaning my external filters.

Re: Adding fish to my aquarium, need help to choose!
Hi Woodh
Please forgive me if I've missed something.
If the temperature range for L397 is 24-30C (planet catfish) why is your temperature so high at 28C+, why not 26C which would be closer to the middle range?
The options at 26C are far greater than those at 28C+

Re: Is my Flash pleco (L204) male or female?
Based on the recent images posted I have come to the conclusion that this Flash pleco is male.
Anyone looking for a male Flash pleco (L204) ? I'm willing to sell or exchange for a female
I live in the UK (Hereford HR4)
Thanks

Re: Is my Flash pleco (L204) male or female?
Thanks Eric for the reply.
My two Flash plecos are of different ages and sourced separately.
My original male Flash pleco was acquired about 9 months ago when close to being fully grown (we call him George).
The one in question is about 2/3rd the size of the other one but growing and was acquired ...

Is my Flash pleco (L204) male or female?
I already have a virtually fully grown male Flash pleco L204 (Panaqolus albivermis).
I also have another Flash pleco L204 but unsure of it's sex, initially I thought was female (hoping) but I'm now leaning towards being male.
They are my only plecos and can sometimes be seen on the glass near each ...

Re: Looking for pleco species that exist in Rio Guaporé
Thank you Eric much appreciated, I'll take a look at the list later.
I forgot to mention that my tank is themed on the Rio Guaporé so I'm quite strict on my stocking.
I also found the Hypoptopoma baileyi when searching the Guaporé here on planetcatfish.
There must be many more plecos in the Rio ...
