good price for Niger?
The turusuquki cats I found at Lfs are Nigers. Is $40.00 (us)a good price for a healthy 5inch fish?I guess it must be a good price because they don't seem to come around often..

it's hard to say if thats him from the pics because he's only 3-4 inches long and kind of head heavy(head large for body size). p.s. How have you been?

has any one ever heard this name before? if so what kind of cat fish is it.the one my LFS is calling that looks like some sort of syno. cat in the face but its body has like spikes going down its sides like a armored cat?

I've kept a group of 6 just fine in a 10gal. tank with sand and drift wood.for over 2yrs. I've been feeding them just like any other of my corys. some brine shrimp ,blood worms,spiralina flake and tablet food.as far as temp. mine have been from 25c.-27c. with no ill affects. I also found a tank full at my local wholesaler here in the detroit area.Im not sure there c. bilineatus. but then Im far from a expert at iding corys I will try to post opic. if I can but I put them in my 240 gal. and they can be hard to find in there with all the wood and rocks...

I have a Auchenoglanis occidentalis( 2ft.)he's been in my 240gal. about 2yrs. He's very peaceful guy don't bother anyone.(2 arowana's,3 lg.eel's).I want to add a psuedodoras niger(2ft.) into the mix will they fight or should they except each other and get along?

congrats.after all the corys you've bred it's hard to believe you still get exited over breeding another species.But I guess that's the truley great thing about breeding and raising fish it NEVER gets old. What's you'r next project??

mine was a pictus cat.I saved money from my paper route when I was 8yrs old.I bought a 15gal. set up and the coolest fish in the store a baby pictus cat I had for year's.There still one of my favorite's.

red light
I've used red light (a red plastic tube that slide's over regulal flo. bulb) for quite some time with preety good result's. I turn it on at night when i want to watch my tank..It doesn't seem to bother any of my nocturnal fish the act just like all light's are off.This is also how i find bullies ...

I checked there barbels they seem fine on all my cory's. But I did notice one is alot fatter than the rest wich are all pretty plump.I also noticed they NEVER seperate while all the other species school together they seem to stay away from everyone else.is this a spawning behavior?
