I've just taken delivery of my new tank, 54*24*24 (approx 500lt, 130 USG) - can someone recommend what thickness of polystyrene would be sensible to sit it on? looks like I can get tiles which are about 8mm or insulation sheets at 25mm

just from the photo I'd guess it to be a Gastromyzon, the mouth looks too small to be a Beaufortia kweichowensis. I keep 1 Beaufortiakweichowensis and 2 Gastromyzon together and other than appearance they seem to have the same requirments.

my girlfriend just spoke to the LFS that we got him from, and they are going to replace him, and have asked us to take a water sample as well just so they can check it, which is all good.

Also, they are going to have a look at the body and see if they can identify any problems.
