Here are picture of the other Bristlenose. You can see that the gill are not as open and they are not white.

Besides the vegtales I feed them Wardley Algae Discs, Hikari Algae Wafers and Aquarium Bottom Feeder shrimp pellets. The tank that has the clown plec also has Zebra Loaches, I do not think that the clown gets a chance at the shrimp pellets but I know he does eat the Algae Wafers, Prefers the Hikari ...

I have tried Yams and Sweet potatoes and niether the Clown or Bristlenose did not seem interested. How did you blanch them and how soft were they when you put them in and how long did you leave them on the tank before they ate them?
