They're in a 75 gallon. The chains are not entirely bottom dwelling. They swim in the middle water much of the day.

I recently bought a few of these and I am concerned because they are never out and about, even at night. They are in a tank with red-finned loaches (botia modesta) who greedily appear to eat up all the food I lay down for them. Is anyone familiar with this species? Can it fend for itself or had I ...

Stocking question: small loaches and synodontis

Is it safe to keep these three fish together?

1 synodntis erupterus (about 2.5 inches)
1 synodontis anegelicus (about 4 inches)
9 chain loaches (about 1 or 1.5 inches)

I am concerned for the chain loaches, which are small. Will the syodontis prey on them?
