I know these are fairly common. I'm also not that great with a camera. Every once in awhile I get lucky and thought I would share this picture. I am really proud how it came out and hope it makes it into the cat e log.

What do you guys think. I know he's young.

Could this make it to the Cat e Log ?

I was under the impression that Leiarius Marmoratus and leiarius longibarbis were synonymous.

When I first posted this cat to confirm the ID JOOLs mentioned wanting to get some better pictures. This is why I,m posting I would love to have one of my cats in the Cat e Log.

My Adonis is around 13 to 14 inches and housed in a 125 gallon standard 6 foot tank. I will say this on the subject. Anything placed in that tank that even remotely resembles another catfish is immediatly attacked. I mean vicously.

Is this Leiarus longibarbis ? Sorry for the dirty glass.

If thats the case can you tell me why when you handle a RTC its not slimy in fact its the exact opposite. RTC's feel like leather. Any other keepers of this fish help me out if you've felt the same thing.

PS Or am I the only guy dumb enough to pick up an RTC with his bare hands

When this Acanthicus (and the hystrix pic you have shows this) yawns. He displays appendagas near his gill plates. What are these called? Do they have a function ? And finally is this the ...

Thanks for having a look. The spot pattern of the younger adonis in the cat e log seemed differant so I wanted to be sure. I have had him for over a year and am very pleased with him. Thanks again
