Youre right I will see whats happening ,but i thought there will be sure notes to differ the genders. Odontones are not real sure signs, i've read . Because there appearance depends maybe on dominance of the fish ,sexual activity a.s.o .

I bought 4 plecos ,who where selled as Peckoltia spec. L 205. All seemed to be adult.
One of them is definitly a panaque, but which panaqaue ?

I bought some very nice looking C. pulcher (a groups of 6 fishes + 1 one half dead for free).
I keep them in a 1m*40cm*50cm Tank (there are only some Farlowellas in it). Here in Berlin we have hard water (around 18-20dgh ,700-800mikrosiemens ,ph at 7,4 >> in my tank temps are around ...

I have 4 of these interesting Farlowellas ,but i dont know what kind of spec. it is . I think this could be maybe F. vittata ?

Iam interested in the Water values of their natural habitats (Niger ,Cameroon ). I dont know much about their natural habitats (there no good desciptions in the net>> only small remarks). So i will be very glad if someone can help me out.

Thanx for posting. My A. vespa tank is also a species only with fine sand. The vespas often burrowed between the stones and driftwood (over them a small eheim pump creates a current). The tank is filtered with a "Hamburger Mattenfilter" ,placed in one corner ,also a small membranpump is installed ...

I have 10 Akysis vespa since 3 weeks ,and arange the tank after the few infos i found in inet (current ,cool water 24°). But wish tank size is ideal (they are now in 45liter tank). Wich waterhardness is preferet (they are now in water with 1 gh 0 kh ,ph 6,8).

Which visible signs showing me what kind of eel catfish i got? I'am not sure what i bought . In the shop it was declared as Channabellus apus ,but for me it looks more like a Gymnallabes typus. I dont know any physical charakteristics to objektify my clue ,so maybe here anyone can help me ...
