Nice pics MatP... just curious as to what makes you think that the L204 is a male? :D It is hard for me to tell by the pic above. Actually, if you go to the 3bdesign website and look at the closeup of the head, you'll see the cheek-odontodes and the odontodes (hair) on the side of the body on that ...

The seller bought them as L236. I bought some awhile back from a buddy of his and we think they are L399. (We too had bought them as L236). *Shrugs* Still pretty but the chances of them actually being L236 are slim to none... but you never know! :D

Hi, when I first got my peppermint plecs they really wouldn't eat and didn't look so hot. It/they did not eat (that I saw) for at least the first week or so. Once it got used to the tank and established it's territory it started eating, the larger plec I see eating algae growth off of the plants all...

the clown loaches and the L-007 will be gong in my 72"x18"x22" when they get bigger.and IMHO it is not even close to being overstocked. Penguin 350. Magnum 350 with double bio-wheels. Twice weekly 25% water change. They will definitely do good when they get bigger in the larger tank....

Hi- They may be okay for now but most of the fish you have listed once grown will not be okay in that size tank together as it would be severely overstocked, IMHO. The L07 gets 10", the L200 gets 7", clown loaches get 10"+, Congo's get 3"/ea, and the rosey barbs can get up to 3-4...

You may never know the exact species unless you know exactly where was imported from. If you got from t...

If there are absolutely NO bristles up the ridge of it's face then it is not a male so you would be right Laurab5. Some males are late bloomers as I have had several males grow out to be 4"+ before the top ridge bristles shot out. I was hoping to see another pic or two of the fish in question b...

Looks like Ancistrus sp.3 if you ask me. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/loricari/ancistru/49_13.PHP :) Is it possible to get more pics? It could very well be that the fish's belly looks lighter because it was a close up with a flash, who knows.

It does look pretty much exactly the same even with the red tail fin. Now I just have to find info on it. Thank you!

Help confirm this Thresher?

Hello! I purchased the below fish as a L11 thresher. I don't know if I'm looking at the right sp. here on planet catfish but here on PC the body is beige with dark spots whereas the below is kinda opposite but same body. Can you help? Thank you! :D http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d183/pureplecs/Fi...

Hello and welcome to the site! It would be most helpful if you provide the actual size of the tank (how many gallons or liters) along with how many discus do you have and are there other tank mates? Also, water parameters would be helpful such as the pH (at least). This will help everyone give a mor...
