That does not work. The menu is directly behind the otehr one and if I resize the window I can make the back menu move around. If I refresh the window it does nothing but show up the same way it did before.

Its like one menu is stuck in one spot and the other can move around if I resize the window ...

If it works fine for you in the same environment than it probably has to do with Firewalls, default settings, and such that is implemented at work.

Without reading any breeding info on these guys, I will assume that breeding them would be close to the same as a Common where you would need a large mud encampment for them to lay their eggs.

Especially if they get to 20" they would be very hard to tank breed at home.IMO

A cannister filter might be considered overkill for that size tank, but is by no means out of the question. Generally it's better to over filter and good quality equiptment will last for many years and tanks.
