Thanks everyone for the advice, suggestions and questions. After much research I have decided to go with a digital salinity meter. Will be easier in the long run. Thanks again.

Refractometer
First, I would like to apologize if this subject has been covered before. There so much information and so little time to sort through it.
I need to know what is the best refractometer? What brand is the best?
I don't want to buy the wrong kind and regret it later. I would like to get it right the ...

Filter & Sand, Advice Please?
I have a 20 gallon long and I'm using white sand for the bottom. It is beautiful but has killed two Whisper HOB's. What brand, kind, whatever filter will withstand the sand and not die on me?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The Sterbai I ordered from a highly respected online aquaria store and the Spotted and Bronze Cory's I bought at Pet*mart. The Bronze Cory's must be really hardy, I have not lost any of them and they act crazy all of the time. After a water change last night they all seem to be doing well. I will ...

The Spring Water I'm using is Sodium Free and the Colorado River Rock is the same kind of rock I'm using in my 75 gallon (about 25 of them) with no problems.
I use the same water in my ten gallon (for about five months now) and it has never gone through cycling. I empty about 1/2 the water out every ...

I don't suppose that there is a reason for me to not get a pleco. I just have not researched them enough. Are they peaceful? Will my Ocar get along with it. My Oscar is a baby. Only 1 1/2" at this time. How big/long do plecos get? I want to apologize for asking so many questions but I want to make a ...

I read that they are extremely peaceful cats and I just want something that will work well with my Oscar and not be eaten as my Oscar grows. I would love for someone to tell me which cat would be the best with my Oscar (one that they could grow together and live long happy lives). I just need some ...

Ancistrus (Bushy-nose or bristlenose cats)
I need to know how long/big a bushy-nose/bristlenose cat can get. I've read that they are peaceful and need to know if they will grow large enough to live with my Oscar. I want a cat that will be safe as my Oscar grows. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks.
