Re: Catfish Study Group 2020 - 41st Convention

Thanks Rupert! It was probably my most enjoyable Convention yet. Sad a few folk couldn't travel but everybody else seemed to have a great time. I panic bought some Hypancistrus L136, L500 and L450, plus a few Corys - coppenamensis and venezuelanus.

Re: Marc's fish room build

Hi Marc,
re the camera - Good point about the network connection in the fish house, mine is like a faraday cage when it comes to signals. I should be able to get a network cable in though, so I've ordered one to see how I get on.

Cheers,
Mark.

Re: Marc's fish room build

Hi Marc, Good idea with the camera. I'm planning to do the same for when I'm away. My CCTV company suggested I just get a cheap doorbell camera for the fish house off Ebay. What kind have you used?

Great thread Haakon!

Can I use some of your text and images for a Catfish Study Group Journal article? I will share it with you before publishing.

Cheers,

Re: Marc's fish room build

Looking good Marc. I've used timber frames on my last two fish-house builds. Planning another rebuild and will go the same way. Just gives me the flexibility I need for odd sized tanks. The only real issue I get with untreated timber is damp on the ground and deterioration of wood in contact with wet...

Re: A day in the life of Planet

Re-reading this thread reminds me what a great job you do Jools, and what a fantastic resource PC is, that we often take for granted!

I know a few people who need to read this, when they wonder why their favourite fishies haven't been moved or renamed etc! :-\

Re: The "Jools' new fishroom post"

Good luck with the refurb Jools. If you're anything like me, you'll enjoy the process of rebuilding the fish house as much as the fish-keeping!

Pity I'm not a bit closer to take some fish off your hands!
