Sick L134 - Photos attached

Sorry, no water parameters yet.

Tonight, before going to bed i noticed my L134 have some kinda funny white spot/dot on them.

At first, i thought it maybe white spot, but they are kinda too big and almost look furry.

Will get my water tested at the LFS tomorrow, and post here.

However, can anyone ...

Re: L134 - odd one out

Hi there, no they are locally bred stock. I noticed the fish had passed some poo dark colour (digesting the driftwood i imagine) its was a short piece maybe 3mm long. Have introduced some blackworms into the fry saver for the fish, and will see how it goes overnight. The fish seems quite pale ...

Re: L134 - odd one out

Also, the tank has plenty of driftwood and hiding spots. (will upload photos tomorrow) - i was suggested by a LFS that they do not like strong current. And that the fluval internal filter (1000L.ph) was too strong for the fish - particularly for the babies I have (4cms~)

Shane, thank you for your prompt reply. I shall endevour to seperate these species to avoid potential problems with dietary/growth and the agression factors you mentioned.

Mixing catfish species/sizes

Hi guys, long time reader of the forums, but dont' post very often. I would like to ask on behalf of my friend if it safe to keep various species in the same tank of different sizes. Or would be in the best interest in my fish to keep them separated.

The current inhabitants are:
3 x Peppermints ...

Cory with bad/tattered condition

I use to have a baby clown knive with my cories and it attacked one of my cories all the time at night. I end up selling the clown (was 10cms or so), and am left with a cory sterbai who has a ripped top fin and white fungus on his head region. Initially i thought it would slowly heal back up with ...

Corys in deep tanks

hiya, I'm kinda newish to the world of cories.

I currently am housing 10 sterbais in a 4x2x2, i was told my a guy that cories aren't too fond of deep tanks (anything over 18inch). As they are found in the shallow waters in the wild...

Is this true?

Thanks
David
