Nocturnal C.Aeneus

This may seem to be a stupid question  , but I have to ask.... Do all lights in the room need to be off for nocturnal fish to come out, or just the tank light? :?:

Eye Twitching Cory

I have a Corydoras Aeneus with an eye twitch. I have checked Ammonia and pH and they are both fine. I am wondering is this eye twitch normal?

Tankmates for Corydoras Aenues

I have recently discovered a great tankmate for a C. Aenues . A " Ghost Knife " (I don't know the scientific name) see a pic below.

As the " Ghost Knife " is a quite placid fish, he shares a cave with my Cory . I have also noticed a ...

Setting up a new fish tank

Hey everyone,

I have decided on starting a new fish tank. Purely, I will use it with catfish. As soon as I can, I will post the measurements. Could anyone please post regarding what you think would be the absolute neccesities for the tank.

Thanks in advance,
Jack

pictus_man_77 , they are actually quite placid. I was suprised myself. They seem to have a half tank each and keep away from each other. Suprisingly, the most aggresive fish is the Silver Molly.

Sorry Racoll , I am sort of a newbie in home aquariums, it is only with help of friends, family and basic instructions on Ph and Ammonia test kits that this fish tank works well.

They would be theoretically OK. Banjos do like sand though.

However you already seem to be stocked to capacity. What ...

Sorry for the double-post, is it possible to edit posts?

Anyway, would a Spotted Raphael Catfish suit my tank?
The scientific name is Acanthodoras spinosissimus and I have a pic below (From PlanetCatfish)

Thanks for your replies.

How about a Whiptail Catfish ( Rineloricaria sp. )?
Do you think that would work well? Pic below.

The site I got the above details from, says the fish above grows to 5".

Or maybe a Banjo Catfish ...

Sorry for the lack of details earlier, my tank is 2ft long and 1ft tall.

I would love to have a Farlowella Catfish (as seen in the pic below).

I would also love to have a Polka Dot Pimelodella Catfish (as seen in the ...
