I see plecos everyday a lot, even with out any food. Here's a video of plecos eating veggies. Theres also that L273 of mine who is at cave atm. waching fry. Im waiting when he goes to eat something and I steal his babys.

Very nice fish. I have three L142's, biggest around 26cm and others 23-25cm. I have had them about 6 years now but I have no clue about sexes.

The cave where L273 is now is in first photo. My L142's cant fit in cause they are all over 23cm long. I dont have any pairs in my tank, I've been waiting those L142's to spawn but I quess they are all males.

I know those Pseudas are small and I dont know their age, but I have had L273 for about 5 ...

I have three small Pseudas in my maintank. L273 and L65 had a big fight about 6 months ago and I took some pics of it.

Thank you all for answers. I have not seen Panaque fry but I though those are super rare so I was suspicious from the start.

Panaque but whitch one?

One guy at our local forum told he have fry from Panaque pair. I asked photos and he sent these to my email. Photos are not good but what you think?

I dont know much about those Ancistrus. They were sold in Glaser as Ancistrus sp. "megamouth", that all I know but they are over 20cm long.

Very nice pictures Tommi, L273 looks very good. It grew from 6-7cm to 15 in 5 years?

Got 5 L273 myself 5/6cm they look already very good.

I have L273 and L65 and both are very slow growing. I just got a week ago new LDA73 but that is about 9cm already. I bough my first ...

I made a rack for veggies at my shop. Stainless steel and that can hold down whole cuccini at once. I have smaller versions too that hold one or two slices for smaller fish.

Pseudohemiodon sp.

I have had these Pseudohemiodons for some time and I have some youngsters to pass to new homes. These were sold as P. apithanos but I would like to be certain before I sell them. What you think?

Second fish in that video is Chaetostoma sp. and it has a bit sunken belly. Those plecos are quite new and I hope they get fatter in time.

Same fish in moviemode. They just couldnt done it. Male is hoovering in cave like he has eggs, but I cant see any with flashlight. Female is in bad shape and I hope she survives.

I didnt thought they'll ever match after being in same tank for oven an year and half. First they tried to take over my L14's cave but smaller in size they coundnt. I added similar size cave to tank and after two days they find it. I dont think they are gonna get it done cause they've been trying ...

I agree with lots of green food and hi temps. I've had my precious L142 for about 4y's and it has grown from 5cm to 23cm. I actually have three of those and I found couple shots from my old homepage.

I got confused while brownsing those Brachyrhamdia species here in PC, so I decided to ask. This was sold as B. meesi, but head is dark like marthae has etc. Please help.

Hi Tommi,

It would be nice to have that Wels Atlas 2 translated to english already.
What exactly do you want to know, I could translate a bit...

L 263 is closest, even though the color is usually a bit more brownish and in the dorsal and caudal fin it's lacking the typical clear/dark markings ...

Thanks guys. I gotta blame my wife for those tanks decors and plants. I just take care of technical stuff and buy fish without her knowing about it. :D
I've setup couple galleries and those can be found here, here and here. Without couple exceptions those are all my fish.

We have our Pseudos in 560 litres community tank with fine sandplastsand in it. Tapwater is very soft here and pH in tank is just under 7. Temp 26C.

We've stolen fry from father as eggs and put them in plastic frybox in same tank. We have been bit lazy with making any fryfood and most of the time ...
