It looks alot like the oxydoras niger. The only difference I see in my specimen is that the "hooks" on the sides are not hooks at all but just nubs. Would that just be from inadequate tank conditions? His fins also look shorter than they ...

I bought this large catfish from my local pet store and it was sold as a tirashugi cat but I have been unable to find anything on a fish by that name.
