I just read your article, it was great. Thanks for all the help. My 90 gallon is actually designed more with fish in mind then people. it is 4' by 3' by 2' I believe? It was a free tank so I am not even 100% sure it is a 90 gal, but it is at least that.

Thanks for the info. You are so right about this being a messy fish! I have def noticed a difference when I vacuum out my tank! His cave area is always filthy. I do vacuum it at least once a week though, so my nitrates remain low. I wasn't aware he would get so big. The page you had linked said only ...

I was thinking the 55 would be safer, I just was not sure if it is big enough for a 6" catfish? The jaguar female is the only cichlid in the tank, so there is no hope of her eggs being fertile.
